Help Us Build The Future of Travel

At Airalo, we're making it easier for people to stay connected wherever they travel. As the world's first eSIM store, we help millions of travelers access affordable mobile data in 200+ countries and regions around the world.

Today, we're a team of 400+ people across 60+ countries, building a product used by travelers every day. We've grown quickly, but we've worked hard to keep what matters: trust, ownership, and the freedom for people to do great work without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy.

We're fully remote by design, genuinely global, and united by a shared mission to make travel simpler for everyone.

Your Next Destination

  • Location: Remote, anywhere in Spain or the UK.
  • Contract:
    • Spain: Full-time, permanent contrato indefinido via Deel (our employer of record in Spain)
    • UK: Full-time, permanent
  • Benefits: Learn more about our benefits here
  • Languages: English is our main working language day to day, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating in it both in meetings and async.

Curious what it's actually like to work at Airalo? We've put together a guide for each of the hubs we hire from most, covering our benefits, remote culture, employment setup, and what our team values most:

  • Life at Airalo · España
  • Life at Airalo · United Kingdom

We are hiring a Finance Transformation Lead to drive the modernization of the finance function. You will be the finance change agent and program owner across our biggest foundational bets: ERP implementation, process automation, a 5-day close, controllership and SOX-lite, and standardized data and dashboards.

This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role for someone who has run large finance transformations before. You will act as the finance PMO and process architect, reporting to the CFO and working across the entire finance organization and its advisors. You should be ready to manage multiple complex workstreams, have an analytical mind, pay keen attention to detail, and love to get your hands dirty.

What you'll do:

ERP program ownership

  • Own the finance side of the ERP program (with system integrators and/or ERP vendors) from BRD through design decisions, data migration, parallel run, and cutover — including alignment with external auditors on post-cutover reporting.
  • Act as Airalo’s primary counterpart to the SI and other delivery partners, holding them to quality, pace, and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead design decisions across the finance value chain (revenue recognition incl. deferred revenue, breakage, rewards; COGS and inventory accounting; intercompany; multi-entity consolidation; period-end close; treasury; tax; AP).
  • Own the transformation roadmap and governance (SteerCo), manage stakeholders and dependencies, and drive adoption and training so change sticks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Process redesign & controllership

  • Engineer and automate the core finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R, FP&A), eliminate manual effort, and drive a shorter month-end close.
  • Own the data migration strategy, including chart of accounts design, master data ownership, and cutover balances.
  • Drive the design of the future-state finance operating model across group entities, including roles, controls, segregation of duties, and approval workflows.

Data, reporting & decision-making

  • Deliver standardized dashboards and driver-based forecasting (toward a ±5% accuracy target), with a single source of truth.
  • Embed finance in the company’s key decision forums.

Program & change management

  • Define and track the efficiency, accuracy, and cost benefits of the transformation.
  • Report progress to leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.
  • Embed AI and automation opportunities into the design (close acceleration, anomaly detection, reconciliations, reporting) rather than treating them as an afterthought.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years in finance with a clear track record of leading large-scale finance transformation.
  • Has led an ERP implementation end to end as the finance lead (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Deep process re-engineering and automation experience across O2C, P2P, R2R, and FP&A.
  • Strong controllership and controls background (SOX / SOX-lite, ITGC, audit readiness).
  • Program and change-management discipline; can run a multi-workstream roadmap with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and/or a Big 4 / consulting transformation background.
  • Influence and credibility with senior stakeholders inside and outside finance.

Preferred experience

  • Prior exposure to telecom, MVNO, SaaS, marketplace or other usage-based / partner-settlement revenue models.
  • Experience embedding AI / automation into finance processes (close, controls, reconciliations, reporting).
  • Familiarity with modern data/BI tooling (e.g., dbt, BigQuery, BI dashboards) and finance data architecture.
  • Multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction experience; M&A integration a plus.
