We're seeking a Finance Transformation Consultant to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our international retail client.
Please note, this is an initial 10-12 week assignment (possible extension in 2027) PAYE Umbrella contract that will require onsite working in London 1-3 days per week.
Summary
As a Finance Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's finance function. You will support the development of comprehensive business cases across four priority transformation areas, positioning our consulting firm as a trusted strategic partner in large-scale organizational change. This is an opportunity to drive meaningful impact on a significant Finance change agenda planned to mobilise from 2027, working with executive leadership to unlock efficiency and modernize finance operations within a complex, multi-entity environment.
You Will
- Lead or support the development of business cases for major finance transformation initiatives across multiple priority areas
- Work collaboratively with Finance Leadership Teams and executive stakeholders to identify, size, and validate efficiency opportunities
- Provide expertise across critical finance processes including Source-to-Pay, Plan-to-Perform, and Record-to-Report functions
- Design transformation roadmaps that incorporate simplification, standardisation, automation, and organisational redesign
- Build investment cases and financial benefits cases that articulate clear value propositions to senior decision-makers
- Advise on Shared Services and Global Business Services operating models, including scope expansion and service delivery optimization
- Present strategic recommendations and implementation plans to Chief Financial Officers, Finance Leadership Teams, and Executive Committees
- Contribute to the development of retained organisation structures and finance operating model designs

Ideally, We'd Like
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large-scale Finance transformation programmes within complex, multi-entity organisations
- Strong expertise in Finance operating model design and transformation business case development
- Deep process knowledge across Source-to-Pay, Plan-to-Perform, and Record-to-Report functions
- Proven track record working with Shared Services and Global Business Services environments
- Background in retail, consumer goods, or other large multinational organisations
- Exposure to Finance technology, automation, and process redesign initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage senior executive audiences
- Strategic thinking combined with practical implementation experience
- Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen
- Ability to work effectively in consulting or advisory environments
- Collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
