Job Description

The Transformation Programme Lead is a senior, hands-on delivery leader responsible for shaping and delivering complex transformation programmes across corporate finance. The role has particular expertise in treasury, procurement, shared service centres, and reporting and control, ensuring that operating model, process, technology, data, controls, and people changes are delivered as one coherent programme.

Working within the finance function, reporting to the Finance Operations and Transformation Director, the role translates strategic ambitions into practical delivery plans, mobilises cross-functional teams, manages risk and dependencies, and maintains focus on measurable outcomes. The role operates across business, functional, and geographic boundaries and provides clear, evidence-based advice to executive sponsors and governance forums.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading complex, multi-workstream corporate finance transformation programmes from mobilisation through implementation, transition, and benefits realisation
  • Partnering with executive sponsors and Finance leadership to define the transformation vision, scope, target outcomes, delivery roadmap, investment case, and measures of success
  • Shaping and coordinating transformation across treasury, procurement, shared service centres, FP&A, reporting and control, ensuring dependencies and impacts are managed end to end
  • Translating the target operating model into executable workstreams covering process simplification, service delivery, technology, data, controls, capability, and change adoption
  • Providing programme leadership for treasury change, including cash and liquidity management, banking, payments, treasury technology, risk management, and associated controls
  • Leading procurement transformation initiatives across source-to-pay, supplier and category management, procurement operating models, enabling technology, compliance, and value delivery
  • Direct shared service centre transformation, including service scope, location and sourcing choices, transition planning, retained organisation design, service management, and performance improvement
  • Driving reporting and controlling transformation across record-to-report, closing and consolidation, management and statutory reporting, master data, controls, and finance insight and establishing integrated programme plans, governance, decision rights, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, issues, assumptions, and change controls.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
