The Role
As a Senior Consultant in our technical services pillar, you will have the opportunity to be part of and drive finance transformation projects at leading organisations.
Our grade bandings are Consultant to Director and this role is aimed at someone with BlackLine (or equivalent financial close tools) design and implementation experience and 3-5 years overall consulting experience.
This role will have a strong focus on BlackLine platform implementations, guiding clients through end-to-end transformation projects.
This role will also have the opportunity to be part of delivering finance transformations leveraging multiple leading technologies via our best in breed partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation support: be part of our expert teams on both net new and optimisation projects.
- Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance on finance systems functionality, integrations, and automation.
- Data Management: Ensure proper structuring, mapping, and validation of financial data across systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support clients in aligning financial reporting processes with IFRS, GAAP, SOX and other relevant frameworks.
- Process Optimization: Analyse current financial and reporting workflows and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with finance, compliance, and reporting teams to tailor solutions to their needs without risking unnecessary customisation.
- Training & Enablement: Conduct workshops and hands-on sessions to upskill client teams.
- Project Management: Oversee delivery timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

Technical Skills Required
- BlackLine expertise – hands-on experience in configuring Recs, Tasks, Matching, Journals modules with at least 5 implementations.
- BlackLine expertise – hands-on experience in configuring FRA, I2C and ICO modules with at least 3 implementations.
- Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and reporting automation.
- Knowledge of ERP & finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance methodologies.
- Strong Excel and SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
- Ability to create interactive dashboards & reports within PowerBI, Tableau, Workiva.

Key Qualifications
- 3-5 years consulting experience.
- Certifications and proven delivery experience in BlackLine.
- Preferably certifications also in another RTR product such as Workiva.
- Background in finance, accounting, risk, compliance, or sustainability consulting where a relevant qualification is preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to lead workshops and training sessions.

Location: we are a remote team across the UK with regular co-working as a team and at our client sites across the globe.
