Senior Manager – Finance Transformation

Location: Primarily London, Manchester or Glasgow (with需 flexible travel requirements)

About the Role

As a Senior Manager in our Finance Transformation practice, you’ll lead complex workstreams on major global projects for FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients. Key focus areas include:

  • AI-native Finance Operating Models
  • S/4HANA Finance
  • Global Business Services (GBS)
  • Integrated Performance Management (IPM)

You’ll take day-to-day leadership of delivery, shape solutions, co-author proposals, and manage teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.


Responsibilities

Finance Operating Model

  • Support sales efforts and lead workstreams to design and implement AI-native Finance Operating Models, engaging senior Finance stakeholders and shaping transformation strategies.
  • Deliver components such as:
    • Organisation structures, spans & layers
    • Role clarity & decision rights
    • Global Process Ownership
    • Governance & controls
    • Data ownership
    • Service-delivery models (Retained Finance, GBS/GCCs, hubs, Centres of Excellence)

Transformation Delivery & S/4HANA

  • Lead S/4HANA Finance workstreams, collaborating with client Finance teams and system integrators (SI partners) to:
    • Define scope & plan delivery
    • Manage risks
  • Deliver S/4 Finance across key processes (R2R, FP&A, Group Reporting, P2P, O2C) using fit-to-standard and clean-core approaches, with a focus on:
    • Process harmonisation
    • Data & controls design
    • Testing & readiness
    • Value tracking (enabling AI-driven forecasting & automation)

Integrated Performance Management (IPM)

  • Support sales efforts and deliver IPM-related projects, including:
    • Planning, reporting & analytics components
    • KPI frameworks
    • PB&F (Plan, Budget & Forecast) calendars
    • Performance dialogues
    • EPM/reporting models (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Group Reporting)
  • Integrate AI-supported insights such as:
    • Predictive planning
    • Variance analysis
    • Narrative generation

Business Development

  • Actively contribute to proposals, bids, and account growth.
  • Achieve an annual sales target of £1M.

Requirements

  • Strong passion for finance transformation and making it real for clients.
  • 5+ years delivering finance transformation or ERP-enabled change in FTSE 100, Fortune 500, or major enterprises (or equivalent experience from a Big 4 consultancy).
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Finance Operating Models
    • GBS/GCC models
    • End-to-end finance process design
    • Hands-on S/4HANA Finance delivery
  • Ability to engage and influence senior Finance stakeholders (e.g., CFOs, Controllers, Heads of FP&A).
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary workstream teams (business + technology).
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, communication, and client relationship management.
