Finance Transformation Specialist (Accounts Payable)

£40,000–£42,000 | 3–6 Month FTC | Renfrew (Hybrid)

We're partnering with an innovative and growing organisation that's looking for someone to completely transform the way its finance operations work. If you're passionate about improving processes, embracing technology and finding smarter ways of working, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. You'll initially take ownership of the Accounts Payable function, but this role is about much more than invoice processing. You'll be encouraged to challenge existing processes, identify automation opportunities, streamline workflows and help shape the future of the finance function using modern technology and AI.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
  • Reviewing and redesigning AP processes
  • Identifying automation and efficiency opportunities
  • Improving payment runs and financial workflows
  • Working with finance systems
  • Exploring how AI tools can improve finance operations
  • Supporting wider finance transformation initiatives
  • Collaborating closely with Finance leadership to deliver lasting improvements

You'll bring:

  • Strong end-to-end Accounts Payable experience
  • A genuine passion for process improvement
  • Experience identifying efficiencies and implementing better ways of working
  • Confidence working with finance systems and Excel
  • A curious, analytical mindset
  • An interest in AI and how it can transform finance functions
  • The confidence to challenge existing processes and drive positive change

Experience with Xero, Lightyear or similar cloud-based finance systems would be advantageous but isn't essential.
