ExtraCare Charitable Trust are looking for a Finance Transformation and Systems Manager
Lead the future of finance. Drive transformation. Create lasting impact.
We are seeking an exceptional Finance Transformation and Systems Manager (Fixed Term Contract) to lead a transformational journey that will redefine how finance supports our organisation’s ambitions. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant with proven experience in the social housing sector to take ownership of a high-profile programme of change, delivering a modern, insight-driven finance function fit for the future.
At the heart of this role is the opportunity to shape and deliver a new finance operating model — leading the selection and implementation of a new finance system, streamlining processes, strengthening controls, and unlocking better financial insight to support strategic decision-making. You will work in close partnership with senior leaders across the organisation to build a resilient, agile, and forward-thinking finance environment that meets the evolving expectations of a large, registered provider.
Combining technical expertise, strategic vision, and change leadership, you will play a critical role in enhancing financial capability, improving operational effectiveness, and ensuring the organisation is positioned for continued success in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a finance transformation professional who wants to make a tangible difference, influence organisational change, and leave a lasting legacy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
