Description
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate posting of transactions and maintenance of general ledger accounts.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.
- Support tax compliance, including VAT returns and other statutory submissions.

Profile
A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA)
- Experience working within Practice (we welcome ACA or ACCA qualified candidates in Industry also)
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry is desirable but not essential.

Job Offer
- Salary between £50,000 and £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Performance-related bonus scheme.
- Permanent position based in Newark.
