Financial Accountant

We're looking for an exceptional Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team in Andover. This is more than a reporting role—it's an opportunity to become a trusted business partner, drive financial excellence, and contribute to strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, and growing organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Produce insightful financial reports and analysis for senior management.
  • Improve financial controls, processes, and reporting efficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to support strategic initiatives and commercial decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation.

What We're Looking For

  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting within a commercial or practice environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP or finance systems.
  • High attention to detail with outstanding organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and adding value.
