Financial Accountant – 6-Month Contract

About the Role
US Tech Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a 6-month contract, providing cover for a long-term sickness absence.
This is a hands-on accounting role within a complex international organisation, with responsibility for intercompany finance activities, financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations, audit support, and wider accounting processes.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with financial detail, analysing issues, drawing conclusions, and delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support new year purchase pricing activities.
- Monitor and manage intercompany transactions, working closely with the ITIG Finance team and Finance Shared Services.
- Support GRNI and inventory accounting oversight.
- Perform and support Group Controls Matrix controls testing.
- Provide finance support during the year-end external audit, including working with EY.
- Oversee selected balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.
- Provide Basware support to the Finance Source-to-Pay SME.
- Support activities across Source-to-Pay (S2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
- Investigate discrepancies, analyse financial information, and drive appropriate resolutions.
- Complete additional accounting and finance activities as required.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, GL Accountant, or similar.
- Excellent knowledge of SAP ERP, ideally within a large or multinational organisation.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Proven experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
- Working knowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Exposure to GRNI and/or inventory accounting.
- Experience with financial controls and controls testing.
- Experience supporting year-end and/or external audits.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues, interpret financial information, and reach sound conclusions.
- Highly organised and process-focused, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Able to understand instructions and guidance and translate them into action quickly.
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods, or another complex multinational environment.
- Experience working within a Finance Shared Services environment.
- Experience with Basware or similar Source-to-Pay platforms.
- Exposure to transfer pricing and high-volume intercompany environments.
- Experience working with Big 4 audit firms.
