UAT / Fashion Retail & E-commerce
A global fashion brand is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant on a 1-year fixed-term contract to support its ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation for EMEA retail and e-commerce finance operations.
The role has two key focuses: independently owning assigned UAT activities alongside the Senior Financial Accountant, and maintaining day-to-day retail and e-commerce accounting operations during the intensive testing period.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on SAP experience, proven participation in an SAP or equivalent ERP implementation/UAT project, and a solid background in fashion retail and e-commerce accounting.

Main Responsibilities
- Independently lead assigned UAT activities for SAP S/4HANA retail and e-commerce accounting processes, including test execution, defect tracking, and validation
- Support SAP implementation, data migration, go-live and hypercare activities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing for retail stores and e-commerce operations
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records
- Prepare group consolidation and reporting, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Support external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Maintain SAP data integrity, financial controls, and reporting processes, while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with Finance, IT, BPO and operational teams to resolve accounting, reporting, and system-related issues

Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in fashion retail, including e-commerce
- 3+ years of hands-on SAP experience covering accounting transactions, closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Proven hands-on experience in at least one SAP or equivalent ERP implementation, migration, or formal UAT project
- Strong accounting knowledge, including financial close and group consolidation
- Experience with intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Experience supporting external financial audits
- Strong systems aptitude and ability to troubleshoot finance system or interface issues
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
- High level of accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail

Conditions
- Location: London, UK
- Working Style: hybrid
- Salary: £50,000–£65,000 per annum depending on experience
- Job Type: 1-year fixed-term contract
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday
- Start: ASAP
