Recruiting for a fast-growing business looking for a Financial Accountant at a key time in the business' growth trajectory. You'll get hands-on exposure across the finance function, with real opportunities to develop your skills, take on responsibility early, and help shape our processes as we scale. Key Requirements
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Hands-on accounting experience with a good grasp of core accounting principles
- Comfortable with accounting/ERP systems and confident using Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Clear communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Around 1–2 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience preparing month-end or year-end accounts
- Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP or other relevant accounting standards
- Interest in process improvement or systems projects
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Support compliance with tax legislation and internal financial policies
- Assist with statutory audits, liaising with external auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
- Provide financial insight and support to colleagues across the business
