Financial Accountant - Solihull, Birmingham
Hybrid Working | Study Support | Excellent Career Development
A leading, well-established organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience across financial reporting, controls, business partnering, and finance projects.
You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting month-end activities, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and strengthen financial controls.
- Assist with group reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
- Manage and reconcile fixed assets, depreciation, and CAPEX reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial analysis and insight.
- Support finance transformation projects and process improvements.
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and control frameworks.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external audit requirements.

About You
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and UK GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to build relationships and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and keen to drive improvements.

Desirable
- Fixed asset accounting experience.
- Experience using Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
