Role: Interim Financial Accountant
Location: North Nottingham/Derby (3 days on-site)
Contract: 3 months initially
Salary: £55k to £60K

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong financial accountant to join a growing and fast-paced finance team.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will own key areas of financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, and financial compliance across the UK business and overseas subsidiaries.

This is a progressive role, combining strong technical accounting responsibilities with process improvement and exposure to commercial finance. It would suit an ambitious, self-motivated accountant who enjoys taking ownership and improving the quality and efficiency of financial processes.

You will:

  • Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and coordinate the annual statutory accounts and external audit process across the Group
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for the UK and six subsidiary entities
  • Produce other relevant tax and sales tax reporting for overseas subsidiaries
  • Support corporation tax reporting, planning, and compliance across the Group
  • Manage CAPEX accounting and reporting, including month-end and budgeting requirements
  • Support the commercial finance team with financial information, analysis, and insight for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
  • Take ownership of improving the quality and integrity of financial information across the UK and overseas entities
  • Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve controls and reporting
  • Support the management of loan accounts and director share payments
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, overseas subsidiaries, auditors, and tax advisers
  • Provide wider support to the Group Financial Controller as required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
