An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established global business operating across the food and supply chain industry.
With operations across Australia, the UK, Europe, and the US, the business works with customers and partners across international food supply chains, combining deep industry expertise, market intelligence, and technology to deliver efficient and commercially focused supply chain solutions.
Based in London and reporting to the Finance Manager – UK & Europe, this is a broad, hands-on accounting role supporting the day-to-day finance function while ensuring accurate and timely financial and management reporting across the region.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
- Month-end reporting and close activities
- Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and reporting requirements
- Assisting with the year-end audit and preparation of audit schedules
- Managing and supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Monitoring customer accounts and outstanding invoices
- Overseeing supplier payments within agreed payment terms
- Preparing daily cash position reporting
- Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, and procedures
- Working closely with key stakeholders across the wider business
- Providing additional support to the Finance Manager and finance team as required

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Relevant accounting/finance qualifications or tertiary education
- Approximately 2+ years' accounting experience
- Strong month-end and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Exposure to AP and AR functions
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders across the business
- A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work to deadlines
- Strong MS Excel skills and exposure to Netsuite

Experience within the food, agribusiness, supply chain, or logistics sectors would be highly regarded but is not essential.
This is a hybrid role - 3 days per week in the office.
