ABOUT THE POSITION – FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

We are recruiting for this exceptional Senior Financial Accounting position in a highly successful, innovative, and growing wonderful arts & culture Charity.

This is a unique opportunity for the right person:

  • Hybrid working & Flexible hours, including 1 Day a week in office - With hybrid working and flexible hours, the charity is open to the position being for 4 or 5 days per week. You are expected to be in the office one day per week.
  • Vibrant central London offices - Based in a vibrant music, theatre, and arts complex in central London.

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The small finance team also includes a finance assistant, and you will be working closely with the highly supportive head of finance, and both of you reporting to the charity CEO.

The role is wide-ranging and well-supported by the head of finance, from managing transactions through to preparation of annual accounts and interaction with senior management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing annual accounts and coordinating the external audit
  • Input to preparing VAT returns and other relevant tax submissions
  • Managing day-to-day transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Other relevant administration, payroll management, and duties to help progress the charity and support the finance area
  • Assisting in developing the finance area across systems, processes, and financial controls

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates may come from practice, industry, or the charity / not-for-profit sectors. You should be qualified or finalist stage with several or more years’ experience and broad financial accounting experience.
