Financial Accountant
Location: Glasgow (hybrid, 1 day on-site)
Day Rate: £250 - £300 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella Company)
Duration: 6 months initially
Start Date: Immediate
Our client, a fast-growing international SaaS business, is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an interim basis. This is a hands-on role in a small, close-knit team with operations across the UK, US and APAC, where you'll take ownership of global payroll, balance sheet control and month-end accounting, working closely with the Financial Controller.
Role Responsibilities:
- Global Payroll: Own the end-to-end payroll process for the UK, US and APAC, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance across each jurisdiction.
- Month-End Accounting: Ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly accounting entries including accruals, prepayments and journal postings.
- Balance Sheet Control: Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all balances are correct and fully substantiated.
- Systems & Process: Work in NetSuite day to day, maintaining data quality and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
- International Collaboration: Work alongside finance colleagues in the UK and APAC to support a smooth, consistent month-end close across regions.
- Process Documentation: Document and hand over key processes as the team expands internationally.
- Team Support: Support junior members of the team and provide ad-hoc cover across the finance function as required.

Essential Skills / Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong, recent hands-on experience with NetSuite (essential)
- Proven payroll experience, ideally across more than one country
- Demonstrable experience in a similar all-round financial accounting role
- Experience in a multi-entity or international business (SaaS / tech advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a data-quality mindset
- Self-sufficient, proactive and comfortable working in a largely remote environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
