Job Title: Financial Accountant

Our client, a growing media company, is looking for a talented Financial Accountant to join their team on a remote basis. You will work closely with the finance and operation teams to assist with the month-end close process and ensure timely financial reporting. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a larger creative organisation and be a crucial part in building out an accounting team.

Description

The responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with financial record-keeping, including ledger entries in accordance with standards.
  • Perform accounts payable, bank, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Support accounts payable processes including vendor set-up and invoice processing.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial tasks.

Skills

The skills of the Financial Accountant include, but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Previous experience with royalties is beneficial.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively across all departments.
