Chalk Hill Group are assisting an established, international business in Andover in their search for a Financial Accountant. This role will support the finance function across multiple entities throughout the region. This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant to take ownership of a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities, while gaining valuable exposure to international reporting.
There will be an expectation to be in the office three days a week.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the month-end accounting process across a number of international entities.
- Preparing journals, fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting management reporting and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Taking responsibility for statutory and tax compliance, including VAT and statistical reporting.
- Supporting the preparation of international statutory accounts.
- Working closely with auditors, advisers and the international management team.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.

You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified or newly qualified.
- Strong month-end and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Good knowledge of general ledger accounting.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.

Experience of international statutory reporting would be advantageous but not essential.
