About Allica Bank
Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.
Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.
Role Description
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting on the lending portfolio. This role demands a proactive mindset, with a focus on identifying risks, improving processes, and implementing robust controls. You will collaborate closely with finance, operations, risk, and external auditors to maintain transparency and uphold the highest standards of governance.
Success in this role means not only meeting deadlines but also continuously enhancing efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and leveraging technology to streamline reporting. The role will suit someone highly motivated, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with working in a growing, ambitious bank.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
