Venture Recruitment Partners is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and prestigious organisation in Basingstoke to recruit a Financial Accountant into a key role within its finance team.
This is far more than a traditional technical accounting position. You'll take ownership of a significant Property, Plant & Equipment portfolio, partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation and play a key role in supporting major investment decisions, financial control and business performance.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end accounting for a substantial Fixed Asset and Property, Plant & Equipment portfolio.
- Managing lease accounting under IFRS 16.
- Producing high-quality monthly reporting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting month-end, year-end and audit activities.
- Partnering with operational and project teams on capital investment programmes.
- Providing financial insight and challenge to support business decision-making.
- Driving continuous improvement across controls, governance and reporting processes.
- Presenting financial information and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:
You'll be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualified (or nearing qualification) and bring strong technical accounting experience from a complex organisation.
You'll also have:
- Strong IFRS 16 experience.
- Proven Capital Accounting and Fixed Asset expertise.
- Excellent financial reporting and balance sheet management skills.
- The confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the business.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insight.
- A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes and controls.
