The Role
A high-performing, fast-paced boutique financial services firm is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a commercially-minded role offering direct exposure to the CFO and senior stakeholders across the business.
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in the finance function, contributing to both day-to-day accounting operations and broader process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to move into a commercial, in-house environment with genuine senior stakeholder exposure.

- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with statutory reporting, audit preparation, and liaison with external auditors
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the business
- Partner with the CFO and senior stakeholders on ad hoc commercial and financial analysis
- Identify and drive process improvements across finance operations, including opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required

About You
- Qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Audit background strongly preferred (practice-trained)
- Circa 2 years' in-house experience within a financial services organisation
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent data skills
- Comfortable working with and adopting AI tools to improve efficiency
- A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in streamlining processes
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships with senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
