As our Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Group Financial Statements are completed, reviewed and signed off ahead of our 29th September deadline. With an eagle eye for detail, you'll work closely with our external Auditors and third-party providers responsible for preparing the final draft accounts and tax computations, reviewing documentation and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting.

This is a minimum 2 month contract, providing critical support to our Finance team during a key reporting period. You'll utilise our NetSuite ERP system and play a vital role in driving the successful completion of our year-end reporting and audit process.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the preparation, review and completion of statutory financial statements to a strict reporting timetable
  • Acting as the key point of contact for external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring audit and tax requests are managed efficiently and deadlines are met
  • Reviewing draft financial statements prepared by third-party providers, challenging where appropriate and ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting the delivery of the year-end audit process, coordinating information and resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Preparing and reviewing key accounting schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Working closely with finance and business stakeholders to gather and validate financial information
  • Assisting with consolidation reporting, cash flow reporting and financial disclosures
  • Ensuring all reporting outputs meet internal governance requirements and external regulatory standards

What You'll Have

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, auditing financial statements, month-end preparation, consolidations and cash flow reporting
  • Audit experience is a must
  • Previous experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts within strict reporting deadlines
  • A high attention to detail with a completer-finisher mindset
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • ERP system experience (NetSuite or similar is desirable)
