About The Role

To deliver optimal results in all financial-related activities of the company, prioritising management and financial accounting. Continually assist the wider finance team and the business units with accounting queries and support business process improvements and automation of current systems as required.

The role will focus on supporting international entities. The role will be based in London with some travel to other locations expected as needed. This role will be focused on building strong financial processes, supporting on group and local reporting requirements and partnering with the local finance team in their financial operations.

What You'll Do

  • Support the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with group deadlines.
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis for Reed & Mackay stakeholders and reporting to the US parent company, Navan.
  • Prepare and post month-end journals, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate and resolve reconciling items.
  • Assist in variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in maintaining a strong financial control environment, including supporting SOX compliance and internal control initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and help during internal and external audits.
  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, including FP&A, Tax, Payroll, Treasury and Accounts Payable, to ensure efficient financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes, driving greater efficiency and standardisation.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects, system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Provide support to the wider Finance team and contribute to delivering a high-performing, collaborative finance function.
  • This is a "hands on" role that requires a motivated and focused member looking to take on responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Familiarity with travel distribution advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of NetSuite advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Clear communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable supporting the month end close process and meeting deadlines
  • Numeric and accounting competency
  • Able to reconcile general ledger accounts with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to handle and deal with high volume transactional work
