About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established finance team sat within a manufacturing facility. This role is ideally suited to an individual with experience in Pharma or a similar manufacturing environment who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
This is a key position within the finance function, playing a central role in ensuring robust financial control, strong reporting processes, and effective business partnering across the organisation. You will be instrumental in driving improvements to end-to-end finance processes, enhancing systems and controls, and supporting overall business performance through high-quality financial insight.

- Take ownership of core financial accounting activities, including working capital management and cash flow forecasting
- Oversight of the accounts payable process
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax and statutory requirements
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany accounting
- Delivery of accurate trial balances
- Support year-end audit processes and statutory reporting
- Contribute to the ongoing development of financial policies and procedures
- Business partnering, working closely with both finance colleagues and operational teams to support capital investment planning and provide meaningful financial information to stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified accountant (or finalist level)
- Experience within Pharma or manufacturing environments, particularly in costing
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP and UK standards
- Good understanding of UK tax legislation (VAT, corporate tax, capital allowances)
- Proven experience in management and financial accounting
- Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience (e.g. JDE) advantageous
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
- High level of integrity and a results-driven approach
