Job Title: Financial Accountant
A well-established, market-leading business operating across a UK and international network is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team based in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant with industry experience who enjoys financial reporting, statutory accounting, controls, compliance, and supporting business decision-making within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls are maintained.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- Review and enhance financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight and technical accounting support.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities where required.

About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven Financial Accountant experience gained within industry.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and statutory reporting.
- Experience working within a multi-site, asset-intensive, or service-led environment would be advantageous.
- Strong month-end, balance sheet, and audit experience.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Salary
£60,000 to £65,000 plus full benefits package, Hybrid working 2-3 days office-based in Leicester.
