About the Role
This 12 month fixed term contract offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take a senior lead role within the Global Financial Reporting team, supporting the delivery of high quality financial reporting for the EMEA region. Working closely with the Head of Finance EMEA and colleagues across Finance, the role will oversee regional management accounts, coordinate EMEA audit deliverables, strengthen reporting processes and provide review, supervision and coaching to Assistant Management Accountants to support both delivery and development. The role will also provide insightful analysis to support commercial decision-making across a complex international business.
Team
Kennedys Finance supports the firm globally through the delivery of timely, accurate financial and management information, commercial insight, reporting solutions and operational support that underpin decision-making across the business. The team plays a key role in enabling sustainable growth, improving performance and maintaining the high standard of service provided to the firm's internal and external clients.
Our Finance function includes Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Business Intelligence, Business Partnering and Analytics, Procurement, Finance Systems and Financial Operations, working in partnership with practice and business services leaders across the firm's international network.
Global Financial Reporting Team
The Global Financial Reporting team manages the firm's global financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting requirements. Internally, we provide the firm with relevant and insightful analysis on profitability and other metrics and timely budget and forecast tracking to support business decisions. Externally, we ensure the firm meets its reporting, audit and compliance requirements.

- Trusted business partner to the fee earning and business support side of the business, providing regular and timely information and analysis to leadership helping drive business strategy and enable informed decisions

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of monthly financial reporting for the EMEA region, ensuring management accounts are accurate, timely and supported by robust review and analysis.
- Oversee and review the preparation of regional profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and intercompany reporting by Assistant Management Accountants and other members of the team, providing clear supervision, guidance and constructive challenge where required.
- Coordinate the delivery of EMEA office audits, liaising with local audit teams and internal stakeholders to ensure audit leads, information requests and deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Act as a key finance contact for the Head of Finance EMEA, supporting business partnering activity through clear reporting, insight and commentary on regional performance.
- Support the preparation of EMEA reporting packs and analysis for regional leadership, helping to explain key movements, risks, opportunities and trends.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and consistency in regional management reporting, working collaboratively with colleagues across Finance.

Required Experience
- Qualified accountant, or equivalent, with a recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting or audit coordination, ideally gained in a complex, multi-entity or international environment.
- Confident understanding of profit and loss reporting, balance sheet management, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany accounting and audit deliverables.
- Experience reviewing and supervising work prepared by finance colleagues, with the ability to provide constructive challenge, coaching and support to ensure high quality outputs and help develop technical understanding.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, local finance teams and audit contacts, translating financial information into clear, practical insight for business decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Previous experience working in the legal industry or a similar professional services environment would be desirable.
- Experience using Elite 3E, or a similar legal finance system, would be desirable.
