Financial Accountant

Bluebird Care

Remote with travel to London Office and Franchise Network

£40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is a varied role combining core financial accounting responsibilities with operational support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, strong financial controls, and the timely completion of month-end reporting.

If you enjoy working with detail, improving processes and ensuring financial information is accurate and well supported, this could be an excellent opportunity.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a broad accounting position, combining transactional finance support with core financial accounting, reporting and controls responsibilities.

The role

You will support the day-to-day finance operations while helping to deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and intercompany entries.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and maintain an accurate general ledger.
  • Support month-end close and the preparation of management accounts and reporting schedules.
  • Support day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, payment runs, supplier queries and credit control.
  • Monitor aged creditor and debtor balances and help resolve outstanding items promptly.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, robust financial controls and clear audit trails.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
