Financial Accountant
London | Hybrid | Interim day rate | September Start
We're working with a fast-growing AI technology business that is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its expanding finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an audit-trained accountant looking to make the move from practice into industry, or for an experienced Financial Accountant looking to join a dynamic and growing technology environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial accounting function and ensuring the business maintains robust and accurate financial reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of management and financial reporting
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control
- Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors
- Assisting with technical accounting matters
- Working across multiple entities and supporting group reporting
- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider finance and commercial teams

About You
We're particularly keen to speak with candidates who have:
- ACA or CA qualification
- An audit background, ideally with a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience with month-end and statutory accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- A genuine interest in technology and working within a fast-paced, growing business
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the business
