Financial Accountant
International Group | Broad Finance Role | Clear Progression to Finance Manager
London | Hybrid Working
£65,000 – £70,000 + Benefits
A strong opportunity for a well-rounded qualified accountant who wants broader exposure and a clear route into management.
You’ll be joining a growing international business, working closely with senior Finance leadership across financial reporting, month end, audit, tax, controls and wider finance projects.
Importantly, this isn’t intended to remain a Financial Accountant role long term. There is a clear succession plan for the successful person to step into a Finance Manager role within 6–12 months, making it a great move for someone ambitious and ready to take on more responsibility.
The Role:
- Own key elements of the monthly, quarterly and annual close
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the Group
- Take responsibility for statutory reporting and coordinate the external audit process
- Oversee statutory accounts and corporation tax requirements across multiple entities
- Support technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition and leases
- Manage wider tax and regulatory compliance across an international business
- Work closely with FP&A and the wider Finance team to improve the quality and accuracy of reporting
- Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve and simplify processes
- Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Take on broader responsibility as you develop, with a clear path towards Finance Manager

The Candidate:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- A well-rounded accountant with strong experience across financial accounting, reporting and month end
- Strong statutory reporting and technical accounting knowledge
- Comfortable working across audit, tax, compliance and financial controls
- Experience within a multi-entity or international environment would be beneficial
- Commercially aware and interested in understanding the wider business, rather than focusing purely on technical accounting
- Confident working with stakeholders across Finance and the wider organisation
- Proactive, hands-on and keen to improve existing processes
- Ambitious and ready to progress into a Finance Manager role within 6–12 months
