Interim Financial Accountant
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract
Location: Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Start Date: Immediate
THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a well-established business operating within a fast-paced commercial environment. Following a period of significant operational change, the organisation is focused on strengthening its finance function and ensuring the team is well-positioned to support ongoing business requirements.
With a collaborative and capable finance team already in place, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant on an interim basis to provide additional support during a particularly busy period. This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day finance activities, assisting with audit requirements, and contributing to ongoing finance-related projects.
THE ROLE
The Financial Accountant will join a close-knit finance team and provide hands-on support across a broad range of financial accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys balancing operational finance responsibilities with continuous improvement and project work.

- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the finance function.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Performing and maintaining bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of external audit requirements.
- Helping to ensure financial records are accurate, complete and up to date.
- Assisting with process improvements and finance-related projects.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the finance team to ensure key deadlines are achieved.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Previous experience working within a Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Strong reconciliation experience, including bank reconciliations.
- Experience supporting year-end or external audit processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Available to start at short notice or immediately.
