They are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant who wants more than just a transactional role — someone who enjoys understanding the numbers, improving processes, and working with people across the wider business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or finalist level accountant to join a supportive and professional finance team, gain broad exposure, and build a strong platform for future progression.

You will have a varied role covering both financial accounting and reporting, including but not limited to:
- Taking ownership of key elements of the month-end close and financial reporting process.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts and supporting financial analysis.
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigating variances and providing clear commentary on financial performance.
- Managing accruals and prepayments, including monthly reviews and regular reconciliation.
- Reviewing and maintaining fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Supporting the accounting for intercompany transactions, including reconciliations and resolution of differences.
- Assisting with statutory accounts, audit, and tax requirements.
- Working closely with operational teams to resolve financial queries and improve financial understanding.
- Helping identify opportunities to make finance processes more efficient, accurate, and automated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
