Group Financial Accountant - 3-6 Month Contract
Chippenham | Fully Onsite | Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant for an initial 3-6 month assignment based on the outskirts of Chippenham.
This is a technical financial accounting role suited to someone who has operated at Group Financial Accountant level and can hit the ground running with minimal support. The successful candidate must be available at short notice, have relevant experience and be able to commit fully to the assignment.
Typical Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly Group management and financial accounts
- Group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
- Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and supporting schedules
- Balance sheet reconciliations and detailed review of control accounts
- Preparation of year-end audit files and liaison with external auditors
- Intercompany accounting, reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Fixed asset accounting and depreciation
- Accruals, prepayments, provisions and other month-end journals
- Supporting the Group Finance team with ad hoc technical accounting projects

About You
You will be a technically strong and commercially aware accountant with proven experience in a similar Group Financial Accountant position. You will be comfortable working independently, managing deadlines and dealing with complex financial information.

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent experience is preferred, although strong relevant experience will be considered.
