Regional Financial Accountant
London (Hybrid) - 12-month FTC
£75,000 - £80,000
We are partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint a Financial Accountant for one of their regions on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will support a portfolio of international offices, taking ownership of key reporting activities, audit coordination, stakeholder engagement and the ongoing enhancement of financial processes and controls. The role will suit a technically strong, qualified accountant who enjoys operating in a collaborative professional services environment and is looking for a position that combines financial reporting expertise, team oversight and exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle across the EMEA region, ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable financial information.
- Review management accounts and reporting outputs prepared by the wider team, providing guidance, oversight and constructive challenge where required.
- Support the Head of Finance EMEA through the preparation of reporting, analysis and financial commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Help communicate financial performance and key reporting movements through clear and meaningful analysis.
- Coordinate regional audit activity, working closely with finance teams and auditors to ensure information is delivered efficiently and on time.
- Maintain a strong focus on reporting quality, consistency and adherence to internal controls and governance standards.
- Build effective working relationships across Finance and act as a key point of contact for regional reporting matters.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and ways of working.
- Coach and support Assistant Management Accountants, helping to develop capability across the team.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing finance function within a complex international environment.

Skills & Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Previous experience in a financial reporting, management accounting or audit-focused role.
- Strong technical accounting skills and a thorough understanding of financial controls and reporting principles.
- Experience reviewing financial information and providing guidance to junior team members.
- Ability to build credibility with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial results and explain key movements.
- Experience working within a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge.
- Previous experience within a law firm or wider professional services environment would be highly advantageous.
