Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant will provide a high quality and comprehensive Transaction Processing, reporting and statutory/regulatory control environment within LCY, safeguarding the reputation of the finance team both internally and externally through the management of both system controls (D365) and processes.

Main Tasks of the Job

  • Efficient and effective running of the Transaction Processing functions and its team to enable accurate production of monthly/annual accounts
  • Ensure tight controls are in place and adhered to, including delegation of authority is being adhered to
  • Providing monthly reporting on teams KPI’s benchmarking against measurable targets to the FC
  • Documentation of policies and processes are present and kept relevant
  • Accurate and timely submission of statutory, tax and legal requirements within area of responsibility including VAT, PSA, CIS and P11d review
  • Optimisation of the short term cash requirements of the company
  • Understanding of working capital movements helping to improve Budgeting and forecasting accuracy for the cash flow
  • Preparing and updating actual and forecast cashflows calculating compliance with all cash and debt ratios
  • Budgeting and forecasting for areas of responsibility on the balance sheet
  • Maintain accuracy of intercompany accounts with supporting agreements
  • Support with the implementation of strong internal controls and continuous process improvements
  • Support implementation of new system/upgrade following evaluation of business requirements
  • Provide ongoing D365 system support to the finance team and wider business, acting as the system superuser

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) (Essential)
  • Experience in Accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • People management and development skills to motivate and enhance team performance
  • Proven track record driving D365 F&O system improvement projects and post-implementation optimisation

Hours of Work

  • 40 hour per week, Monday - Friday
  • Hybrid working with three days onsite
