Michael Page are delighted to have been instructed to support a long standing client in their search for a Financial Accountant.

This Financial Accountant role in Coventry is all about managing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the business services industry.

You'll play a key part in the smooth running of the accounting and finance department.

Our client is a growing organisation in Coventry and looking to add a Financial Accountant to their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity in Coventry for someone who is qualified with a background in Practice or Industry.

The successful Financial Accountant will have strong Financial Accounting experience.

This is a hybrid position in Coventry.

A qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA is essential.

Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Business partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and handling audits.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
