Financial & Tax Accountant
Cambridge (Hybrid)
£50,000-£55,000
Heap & Co are looking for a Financial & Tax Accountant to join our listed Technology client in Cambridge.
This would ideally suit a qualified accountant from practice or industry, with exposure to year-end accounts, tax and payroll.
You do not need to be a complete expert in all areas if you can demonstrate the ability and willingness to pick new tasks up quickly and to a high level.
The Role
As Financial & Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for financial reporting, tax and payroll.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts.
- VAT and corporation tax.
- Monthly payroll.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support other areas of finance as required.
About You
You will bring a proactive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in a varied and evolving environment. You will be confident managing your own workload, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and constructively with stakeholders across a Technology business.

Your Experience
- Preparation of accounts.
- Corporation tax, VAT and associated work.
- Payroll.
Qualifications
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or latter stage part-qualified.
