Autumnal Partners Job Opportunity

Autumnal Partners are currently partnered with a leading Private Equity Fund Manager. The firm manages in excess of €20 billion in assets across private equity, growth equity, impact, and private credit strategies, and forms part of a long-established investment group with a global office network.

Our client is looking to appoint a newly qualified – 2 years post qualified Corporate Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to take ownership of a broad and varied remit within a fast-paced, FCA-regulated private equity environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of:

  • Calculating and raising sales and recharge invoices across portfolio companies and fund entities, ensuring costs are allocated fairly and consistently
  • Preparing bank reconciliations, FX revaluations, accruals, and prepayments across corporate and affiliate entities
  • Preparing intercompany and affiliate reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation packs, resolving mismatches ahead of internal deadlines
  • Delivering quarter-end close tasks in line with the regulatory reporting timetable, ensuring no slippage against statutory deadlines
  • Preparing group reporting packs and supporting schedules for submission to the parent company, and liaising with local accountants for overseas subsidiaries
  • Preparing data and returns for regulatory reporting submissions, and contributing to statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns, P11D, and PAYE Settlement Agreement submissions, and supporting wider tax compliance matters
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external and internal auditors, preparing schedules and responding to queries
  • Owning the expense claims process end-to-end, approving claims for policy compliance, VAT recoverability, and cost center coding
  • Supporting ad hoc projects including system implementations, process improvements, and technical accounting papers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
