Interim Financial Accountant

7-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Up to £255 per day

Hybrid – London

Help strengthen the financial foundations of a leading international charity.

Are you a technically strong Financial Accountant looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?

We're partnering with a globally recognised not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its Finance team on a 7-month contract. Supporting an organisation with an annual turnover of approximately £35 million, you'll play a key role in maintaining a robust financial control environment while helping drive continuous improvement across finance processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting with process improvement, stakeholder engagement and financial control.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will ensure the integrity of financial information, strengthen internal controls and support statutory reporting. You'll also act as a trusted adviser to colleagues across the organisation, helping non-finance stakeholders navigate financial policies and procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
