Financial Accountant (12-Month FTC)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per annum


I'm currently partnering with a Global Media company to recruit a Financial Accountant for their EMEA finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA (or equivalent) looking to join a highly recognised international business and gain exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, controls and stakeholder management across multiple markets.

The Role:

You'll play a key role in supporting the group's reporting and control environment across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of head office accounting, including actuals, budgeting and forecasting
  • Reviewing month-end reporting submissions from multiple European entities
  • Reviewing balance sheets and advising on technical accounting treatments
  • Supporting divisional reporting to the US parent company
  • Ownership of SOX reporting and controls processes
  • Managing intercompany recharges and netting arrangements
  • Supporting tax, audit and compliance requirements
  • Partnering with finance teams across Europe to provide reporting support and guidance
  • Supporting process improvements and ad hoc finance projects

About You:

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Background in Audit, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting or Group Finance
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable operating within a multinational environment
