Financial Accountant – Private Equity & Alternative Investments – London

HireForce is working with a leading global investment services business in London to appoint a Financial Accountant to its Private Equity & Alternative Investments team.

This is an excellent opportunity to move into the investment sector while continuing to utilise your technical accounting and financial reporting experience. You will gain exposure to Private Equity, Real Assets and alternative investment structures, working with sophisticated international clients and complex financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reporting for a portfolio of Private Equity and alternative investment structures
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Review investment transactions, fees, expenses and other accounting activity
  • Work closely with investment managers and external service providers to ensure accurate financial information
  • Support the preparation of investor reporting and financial information
  • Coordinate with external auditors throughout the audit process
  • Analyse financial data and investigate variances and discrepancies
  • Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Contribute to process improvements, systems development and automation initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

About You:

  • Recently qualified accountant trained within a Big 4 or Top 6 accountancy firm
  • Audit experience in Private Equity, Alternative Investments or Funds is highly desirable
