Financial Accountant | Private Investment Firm (Contract)
3-Month Rolling Contract | London | Hybrid Working / Immediate Start
A highly successful private investment firm is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 3-month rolling contract. This could easily extend to a longer term position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant with 2-5 years' post-qualified experience who wants broad exposure within a fast-paced, high-performing financial services environment, working with a really nice bunch of people.
The Role
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, month-end, controls, and process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

- Prepare monthly financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals, and closing month-end.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment.
- Produce VAT returns.
- Preparing process flow notes.
- Support statutory reporting and the year-end audit process.
- Produce insightful financial analysis and management information.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
- Support regulatory reporting and other finance projects.
About You
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA qualified - Preferably Audit Trained
- 2-5 years' post-qualified experience.
- Strong financial accounting and financial control background.
- Experience within financial services (investment management, private equity, banking, asset management, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
- Confident communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-performing team.
