WE ARE LANDSEC

We identify and shape places that create opportunity, enhance quality of life, and bring joy to the people connected to them.

This is how we have created the UK’s leading portfolio of urban places and one of the largest real estate companies in Europe.

Our £10 billion portfolio is built around premium workplaces, the country’s pre-eminent retail platform, and a residential pipeline that will redefine urban life.

We have honed this ability over 80 years. Spotting the opportunities, building the partnerships, and continually adapting to shape the places that meet the needs of a changing world.

Places where life happens. Where businesses grow. And where cities are defined.

Location

The role is based in Victoria, London, with the majority of the working week spent in the office and the remainder working from home and / or another suitable Landsec location. Hybrid working arrangements may vary across teams depending on the nature of the role.

The Team

The Group Property Reporting team sits within Group Finance and is responsible for the accounting, control and reporting of Landsec’s property portfolio. Working closely with Commercial Finance, Asset and Portfolio Management, Property Records, Tax, Treasury and external advisers, the team supports monthly reporting, statutory reporting, transactions and audit requirements. The culture is collaborative, delivery-focused and committed to continuous improvement.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Group Property Reporting, the Financial Accountant will take ownership of key property accounting and reporting processes across Landsec’s portfolio. The role combines month-end and statutory reporting with the application of technical accounting judgement to property valuations, capital expenditure, leases and other property-related transactions.

Working with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, the postholder will ensure balances and movements are accurately recorded, controlled and clearly explained. They will also support junior colleagues and contribute to improvements in processes, systems and reporting efficiency.

What makes this role unique?

  • End-to-end exposure to property accounting across valuations, leases, capital expenditure and external reporting.
  • Regular interaction with senior finance stakeholders, commercial teams, external valuers and auditors.
  • Opportunity to improve highly visible finance processes through stronger controls, automation and reporting.
  • Broad exposure to the reporting cycle of a listed UK REIT and the opportunity to develop specialist real estate accounting expertise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
