Finest Brands

Finest Brands is recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business, based out of our Cardiff office. This is a hands-on, finance role covering accounts production, treasury management, tax compliance, and financial control, working closely with the leadership team to ensure the business has accurate, timely, and well-governed financial information.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical grounding and the operational discipline to run a tight month-end and statutory reporting process, while also being comfortable managing cash, banking relationships, and tax obligations across the business.

The role will also require experience working with stock, inventory controls and related reporting, ensuring inventory movements, valuations and reconciliations are accurately reflected in the financial accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Production & Financial Reporting

  • Own the production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, to a fixed reporting timetable
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Manage the year-end statutory accounts process and act as primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with UK GAAP and group accounting policies
  • Deliver clear, accurate board and management reporting packs, with commentary on variances and performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
