We are delighted to be representing a luxury brand to recruit a Financial Accountant into their Global Finance Team.

The role and the Company value in-person connection, so in office presence is expected 3-4 days per week.

The Role

We are looking for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join the finance team of a fast-growing international luxury brand. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Working closely with teams across Finance, Retail and Corporate Functions, you will contribute to accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and continuous process improvement within a dynamic, premium consumer goods environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in line with Group deadlines.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain a robust financial control environment and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet.

Statutory Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and support the year-end external audit.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors and coordinate audit deliverables.
  • Support VAT, corporation tax and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support inventory accounting, fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16) and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and Group reporting requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve accounting processes and financial controls.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, ERP enhancements and automation projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits.
  • Strong financial accounting experience gained within an international consumer goods, retail or luxury business.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP, AX Dynamics or a similar ERP system is desirable.

  • Commercially minded with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for working within the luxury sector.
