Role Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Financial Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) to join a well-established international Education business on a permanent, part-time basis. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking a greater work-life balance while continuing to work in a technically strong accounting environment.
Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of key financial accounting activities and play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The role will be based in their Liverpool office, and you will be required to be in the office at least one day per week.

- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and associated controls
- Preparation of month-end journals and supporting documentation
- Maintenance of fixed asset and intangible asset registers
- Supporting intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Managing financial controls and compliance processes
- Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
- Supporting statutory accounts and annual audit activities
- Contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives
Role Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - essential
- Experience working within UK GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP environments
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
- Experience with Oracle or Business Central would be advantageous
