About Corston
At Corston, we create beautifully considered architectural details for homes and commercial spaces. From switches and sockets to lighting and hardware, everything we design is built around timeless design, exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail.
As our business continues to grow across the UK, Europe and North America, we're looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and provide support during a key period for the business.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role for somebody who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and delivering high-quality financial reporting.
Working directly with our Finance Director, you'll play a key role in supporting month-end reporting, year-end activities, audit preparation, balance sheet control and finance projects across multiple entities.
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
What You'll Be Doing?
- Producing and supporting monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Processing and reviewing journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting.
- Assisting with the annual external audit process.
- Preparing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations.
- Supporting VAT returns and wider compliance activities.
- Maintaining robust financial controls and identifying process improvements.
- Assisting with financial analysis, reporting and ad hoc projects.
- Working closely with the Finance Director to support the wider finance function.

About You
You'll likely be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience).
- An experienced Financial Accountant, Group Accountant or Financial Reporting Accountant.
- Comfortable working within a multi-entity environment.
- Confident managing month-end and year-end processes.
- Experienced in statutory accounts and audit support.
- Strong with reconciliations, controls and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel user with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously and quickly get up to speed.

Desirable Experience
- Group consolidations.
- Multi-currency and foreign exchange accounting.
- International entities.
- IFRS and UK GAAP reporting.
- NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Experience supporting a growing SME or international business.
What's on Offer?
We're open to structuring this opportunity in a way that works for the right person:
- 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (£50,000-£55,000) or
- Interim Day Rate Contract (£300-£325 per day)
