About the Opportunity
micro1 is seeking experienced Financial Systems & Accounting Experts to support projects focused on accounting operations, financial reporting, and financial systems evaluation.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, ERP systems, and financial operations. You'll apply your real-world accounting knowledge to evaluate outputs, review financial workflows, assess system logic, and contribute high-quality accounting scenarios and reference solutions.
No prior AI experience is required. Your accounting expertise and hands-on experience with financial systems are the primary qualifications for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate accounting outputs for technical accuracy, including accounting treatments, calculations, journal entries, and financial explanations.
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, and close workpapers, identifying errors and providing appropriate accounting treatments.
- Assess accounting workflows and financial-system processes across ERP and accounting platforms.
- Apply structured evaluation guidelines and grading criteria consistently.
- Contribute realistic accounting scenarios and high-quality reference solutions based on industry practices.
- Provide clear, actionable written feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Review financial reporting outputs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting standards.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, corporate accounting, month-end close, audit, bookkeeping, financial reporting, management accounting, cost accounting, or FP&A with substantial accounting responsibilities.
- Proven experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Workday, or comparable accounting platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting workflows.
- Familiarity with accounting operations, transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial close procedures.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2 level or above).
- Ability to identify issues within accounting systems and document findings clearly.
- Reliable internet connection and immediate availability.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with finance and accounting tools such as BlackLine, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Avalara, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI.
- Prior experience supporting AI training projects, annotation, labeling, evaluation, RLHF, or rubric-based review work.
- Previous participation in micro1 projects.
- Experience reviewing financial controls, ERP workflows, and accounting process improvements.
