Financial Accounts Manager & Legal Counsel | London | Full Time | £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Are you a qualified Chartered Accountant with 10+ years’ experience across financial management, legal advisory and compliance?

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join the team as Financial Accounts Manager & Legal Counsel. This unique role combines financial leadership, legal expertise and compliance management to ensure the company's financial health, legal integrity and regulatory compliance are maintained to the highest standard. The successful candidate will also manage pensions and taxation matters.

The Role

This role will oversee the company's financial operations, provide legal guidance, manage compliance, and handle personal financial affairs, including investments, pensions, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth, profitability and sustainability
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases and other legal documents
  • Manage any legal disputes or litigation involving the company
  • Provide legal guidance on corporate governance and risk management
  • Handle the investment portfolio in Pakistan, USA, Canada, Norway and the UK
  • Manage investments, pensions and taxation matters
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of personal tax returns
  • Manage the owner's personal investment portfolio and provide regular financial updates

Requirements

Essential

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA, FCCA)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management, legal advisory and compliance roles
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale financial operations and legal functions
  • Exceptional financial analysis and management skills
  • Strong understanding of taxation and corporate compliance
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle PeopleSoft and MS Dynamics
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of IFRS, IAS and UK legal standards
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity, ethics and adaptability
