Investment Administrator
Blackpool | Financial Services
An established financial services business is looking to appoint a VCT Investment Administrator to join its team in Blackpool.
This is a varied role supporting the administration of a Venture Capital Trust (VCT), with responsibility across shareholder and intermediary queries, financial transactions, applications, AML checks, reporting and general investment administration.
You’ll be working in a regulated financial services environment, so strong attention to detail, organisation and an understanding of regulatory requirements are essential.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with general shareholder and intermediary enquiries and information requests.
- Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly transaction postings and ensuring these reconcile correctly to bank records.
- Processing and allocating supplier payments and maintaining creditor ledgers.
- Supporting the preparation and submission of weekly Net Asset Value (NAV) disclosures to the London Stock Exchange.
- Assisting with the administration of VCT buybacks, including monitoring disclosures and maintaining website information.
- Processing VCT applications for new offers and completing the associated pre- and post-allotment administration.
- Carrying out AML checks and reviews on VCT applicants, including risk assessments and obtaining additional information where required.
- Processing agency transfer requests.
- Supporting ad-hoc projects, analysis and reporting.
- Maintaining KPI information and supporting departmental MI.
- Maintaining accurate departmental records and filing systems.
- Supporting wider team activities and taking on additional responsibilities as required.
- Keeping up to date with developments across the financial services and investment markets.

About You
We’re looking for someone with experience within financial services, investment administration, pensions, wealth management or a similar regulated environment.

You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in an administration role within financial services.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently with clients, shareholders, intermediaries and internal stakeholders.
- An understanding of financial services regulation and the importance of compliance.
- Good Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop your knowledge of investments and the wider financial services market.
